The LinkedIn integration lets you use Nuvia to send prospecting campaigns through LinkedIn, import profiles and enrich contact data. This guide shows how to connect your LinkedIn account to the platform.

Available on: all plans.
Who can do it: administrators.

What you need before you start

  • Administrator access to Nuvia

  • An active LinkedIn account (recommended: LinkedIn Sales Navigator for advanced search features)

Step 1 – Open the integrations screen

  1. Click your profile icon in the bottom-left corner of the sidebar

  2. Select Integrations

  3. On the integrations screen, find LinkedIn

Step 2 – Start the integration

  1. Click Manage on the LinkedIn card

  2. Follow the authentication instructions shown on the screen

  3. Authorize Nuvia to access your LinkedIn account when prompted

  4. Once authentication is complete, LinkedIn should show the Manage button with a green check icon, meaning the connection was established

Step 4 – (Optional) Set the invitation cleanup period

Each connected LinkedIn account shows the Invitation cleanup period column in the Integrations > LinkedIn table. This period controls when sent invitations that haven't been accepted yet are automatically closed in the contact's journey, freeing the lead for the next campaign step.

  1. Go to your profile icon > Integrations > LinkedIn card > Manage

  2. Find the account in the table

  3. In the Invitation cleanup period column, choose one of the options:

    • Disabled (default) – pending invitations keep waiting indefinitely

    • 7, 14, 21, 30, 60 or 90 days – invitations sent longer ago than this period are closed automatically

  4. Your choice is saved right away – you'll see the message “Cleanup period updated”

Step 4 – (Optional) Set the invitation cleanup period

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need LinkedIn Sales Navigator?

It's not required, but it's recommended. Sales Navigator offers advanced search filters and more results, which gets more out of Nuvia's prospecting features.

Does Nuvia post content on my LinkedIn?

No. The integration is used only to send direct messages (InMails and connection messages) and to import profile data. Nuvia doesn't publish posts, articles or any content on your profile.

How many invitations can I send per week on LinkedIn?

You can send up to 150 invitations per week on LinkedIn

Can I connect more than one LinkedIn account?

Yes, you can connect multiple LinkedIn accounts to the platform. Each account works independently, with its own weekly invitation limit and activity history.

Can LinkedIn disconnect the integration?

Yes. LinkedIn can revoke access for third-party integrations, especially if it detects unusual behavior. When that happens, the account session expires and only reconnecting fixes it. To confirm, use the Sync action on the Integrations screen: with the session expired, the account shows as disconnected. Reconnect from the same screen and wait before resuming high-volume sending.

I clicked Sync and the account status stayed the same. Is that a problem?

Not necessarily. When Nuvia can't reach LinkedIn at that moment – a temporary outage, for example –, the status already on the screen is kept. Nuvia doesn't mark the account as connected or disconnected because of a communication failure. Try syncing again in a few minutes.

What does the “Invitation cleanup period” option do?

It sets after how many days an invitation that hasn't been accepted is automatically closed in the contact's journey. By default it's Disabled: to turn it on, choose 7, 14, 21, 30, 60 or 90 days in the Integrations > LinkedIn table.

Can I set a different cleanup period for each LinkedIn account?

Yes. The setting is per account. Each row of the table in Integrations > LinkedIn > View integrations has its own Invitation cleanup period column.

What happens to LinkedIn if my trial ends?

When the trial expires without the account being activated, Nuvia automatically disconnects the LinkedIn account from the workspace. This applies only to LinkedIn — WhatsApp stays connected. While the trial is expired you can't reconnect; the screen refuses the connection until the Nuvia team activates the account. After activation you can reconnect as usual, but note: reconnecting creates a new connection, so the name you had given it and the link to the Smart Funnel need to be set up again. If the account is activated or the trial is extended before it expires, the disconnection doesn't happen.
