How to launch a LinkedIn campaign in Nuvia
Step 1: Start creating the campaign
-
In the sidebar, click Campaigns
-
Click New Campaign
-
Fill in the Campaign name field (up to 100 characters). E.g. “Enterprise Prospecting Q1”
-
Select the Campaign type – choose LinkedIn for your campaign
-
Click Next
Step 2: Define the audience
-
For the activation type, select Manual (for your first campaign, start with manual activation)
-
For the audience source, select List
-
Choose the contact list to use as the audience
-
In the side panel, check the audience preview, which shows the number of eligible and ineligible contacts per channel
-
Optionally, turn on Ignore business hours if you want to send outside the default hours (8 a.m.–6 p.m., Monday to Friday)
-
Click Next
Step 3: Set up the message sequence
-
Click Add step to create the first step of the campaign
-
For each step, set up:
-
Message – type the text to send. To personalize the message, use variables by typing
v_(orvar_) and selecting the option you want from the list. -
Interval – set the wait time between this step and the next (if there's more than one step)
-
Conversation owner – required. Defines who follows up with the lead after the conversation starts. Choose between Unassigned, HubSpot Owner (available with the integration connected) or an active user on the platform.
-
Who will receive the contacts' replies:
-
AI agent – replies will be handled by the Smart Funnel configured on the channel
-
Human agent – replies will go straight to the team's inbox
-
-
-
Use the preview in the side panel to see how the message will look with a contact's real data. Move between contacts using the Previous and Next arrows
-
If you want, add more steps by repeating the process
Step 4: Launch the campaign
-
On the summary screen, review all the settings: name, channel, audience, steps and variable mapping
-
Click Launch campaign
-
Confirm in the confirmation dialog that appears
-
The campaign changes to Active status and sends start being processed
Automatic connection invitation
In LinkedIn campaigns, contacts who aren't your connections yet receive a connection invitation automatically before the first message. There's no longer a button to turn this step on or off: the invitation always happens when the campaign's first step is LinkedIn and the contact isn't a connection.
If they're already a connection, the invitation is skipped and the message goes straight out.
In the Connection invitation card (Step 3), you decide whether to send a note with the request:
-
Write the Invitation note (up to 300 characters) to include custom text in the connection request. Notes increase the acceptance rate. There's no longer a switch to turn the note on/off: the field's content decides — filled-in text sends the note, an empty field doesn't.
-
Use variables (
v_orvar_) to personalize the note with the contact's data and, when the audience is a list, with the list's columns. -
The setting is saved automatically when you leave the field, so you don't lose your edit even if you leave without launching the campaign.
Contacts whose invitation was sent but not accepted within the deadline get the Invitation expired status (gray badge), both in the campaign's contact list and in the timeline.
When the profile visit or invitation doesn't complete
Profile visits and invitations depend on the connection with LinkedIn. When that connection doesn't respond (network outage, timeout), Nuvia doesn't keep insisting on the same contact:
-
After each failure, the contact goes to the end of the queue and the campaign continues with the others; a problematic contact no longer blocks the whole campaign
-
On the third failure in a row within 24 hours, the contact leaves the campaign with Delivery error status in the Contacts tab, and the failure is recorded in their history
-
Spaced-out failures don't add up: a failure more than 24 hours apart resets the count
-
A successfully sent invitation resets the count
Invitation-only campaign
To create a LinkedIn campaign that only sends the connection invitation, with no message afterward: set up the campaign normally up to Step 3, add a single step of type Text and leave the Message field empty, then launch the campaign.
The criterion has two parts: the step must be of type Text, on the LinkedIn channel, and with no written content. Then Nuvia understands it's a pure invitation step.
When the contact accepts the invitation, the enrollment is closed automatically (status Completed, connected); there's no message to send afterward.
