Frequently asked questions A campaign lets you send messages at scale to a contact list through WhatsApp, LinkedIn or other channels. **Available on:** all plans. **Who can do it:** any user with permission to view campaigns. ## What you need before you start - At least one [connected WhatsApp channel](https://nuvia.ai/en/docs/artigos/14489425-how-to-connect-whatsapp-to-nuvia) - A contact list with phone numbers filled in - At least one HSM template approved by Meta (for campaigns through the WhatsApp Cloud API) ## Step 1 – Start creating the campaign 1. In the sidebar, click **Campaigns** 2. Click **New Campaign** 3. Fill in the **Campaign name** field (up to 100 characters). E.g. “Enterprise Prospecting Q1” 4. Select the **Campaign type** – choose **WhatsApp** for your campaign 5. Click **Next** Tip the channel types available depend on the integrations you've already set up. If WhatsApp doesn't show up, check that the channel is connected on the **Channels** screen. ## Step 2 – Define the audience 1. For the activation type, select **Manual** (for your first campaign, start with manual activation) 2. Under audience source, select **List** 3. Choose the contact list that will be the audience 4. In the side panel, check the audience preview, which shows the number of eligible and ineligible contacts per channel 5. Optionally, turn on **Ignore business hours** if you want to send outside the standard hours (8 a.m.–6 p.m., Monday to Friday) 6. Click **Next** Important once you move past this step, the campaign is created as a **Draft** and you can't change the audience. Review carefully before continuing. ## Step 3 – Set up the message sequence 1. Click **Add step** to create the first step of the campaign 2. For each step, set: - **Template** – select an HSM template approved by Meta (for the WhatsApp Cloud API). The dropdown filters the available templates by the selected inbox - **Interval** – set the wait time between this step and the next (if there's more than one step) - Who will receive the contacts' replies: - **AI agent** – replies are handled by the Smart Funnel set up on the channel - **Human agent** – replies go straight to the team's inbox 3. Use the preview in the side panel to see how the message will look with a contact's real data. Move between contacts with the **Previous** and **Next** arrows 4. If you want, add more steps by repeating the process ## Step 5 – Launch the campaign 1. On the summary screen, review all settings: name, channel, audience, steps and variable mapping 2. Click **Launch campaign** 3. Confirm in the dialog that appears 4. The campaign status changes to **Active** and sends start being processed Important once the campaign is launched, the template and variable mapping can no longer be edited. If you need to make changes, pause the campaign and create a new one. ## Frequently asked questions ## Frequently asked questions **What is an HSM template?** HSM (Highly Structured Message) is a message template pre-approved by Meta for sending in WhatsApp campaigns. You can only start a conversation with a contact using an approved template. You [create and submit templates for approval](https://nuvia.ai/en/docs) through Nuvia. **Can I edit a campaign after it's launched?** No. After launch, the template, variables and audience are locked. If you need to adjust something, pause the campaign and create a new one with the fixes. **What are the default business hours for sending?** The default is 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday, in the America/São Paulo time zone. You can turn off this restriction by checking **Ignore business hours** when setting up the audience. **Can I send the same campaign to more than one list?** Each campaign is linked to a single audience source (one list or one funnel stage). To send to multiple lists, create separate campaigns or combine the contacts into a single list before launching.
